EXPANDED METAL STRAIGHTENING AND CLEANING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To perform removing of strain of an expanded metal and quick cleaning simultaneously by providing a cleaning device consisting of a rough cleaning section and a finish cleaning section behind a titled straightening device. CONSTITUTION:An expanded metal 1 is led to a straightening machine 9 through a guide roll 8. It is then passed through four rubber rolls 10, 11, 12, 13 and pressed by two metallic rolls 14, 15. The expanded metal that is passed through the straightening machine 9 and slightly stretched and lightly rolled is led to a cleaning machine 16, and subjected to supersonic cleaning in a primary cleaning tank 18. While being pulled up through guide rolls 26, 27, cleaning liquid in the lattice is removed by vibration of an ultrasonic horn 28. Then, the metal is further subjected to ultrasonic cleaning in a secondary cleaning tank 19. The cleaning liquid 21 in the lattice is removed by an ultrasonic horn 34, and the metal is coiled on a coiling machine 37 in a hoop shape.
