Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of a hard total, by providing a nonvolatile magnetic bubble memory in addition to an RAM for the tentative hard total which is successively replaced in a terminal device, and putting a real hard total on the magnetic bubble memory. CONSTITUTION:A hard total is provided to a terminal device, and the hard total includes a tentative hard total 7 which is successively replaced and a real hard total 8. The total 7 is set within a work area 6 on an RAM11; while the total 8 is provided on a nonvolatile magnetic bubble memory 19 which is independently installed. The contents of the total 8 on the memory 19 are transcribed on the total 7 on the RAM11 prior to a transaction. As the transaction progresses, the contents of the total 7 are replaced. Then the contents of the total 7 are transcribed to the total 8 when the transaction is over.
