Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the liquid-leakage resistant performance and the discharge characteristic of a lithium battery by using an anodic seat with a high strength. CONSTITUTION:A pellet prepared by forming a positive mixture 2 together with a positive seat 5, which is made of SUS17-7PH and has a reverse-L-shaped section, is installed into a positive can 1. Here, the hardness of the seat 5 is adjusted to a Vickers hardness of 350 by thermal treatment. Next, a separator 6 made of a polypropylene non-woven fabric is impregnated with electrolyte, and placed over the positive mixture 2. Then, after a gasket 7 made of polypropylene is integrated with a negative can 3, and a lithium metal 4 is pressed and fixed inside the can 3, the can 3 is inserted inside the positive can 1, and the end of the can 1 is curled inward so as to obtain a battery. Since the seat 5 has a Vickers hardness of over 250, the component of force applied to the positive mixture 2 during the sealing is received by the seat 5 with a high strength, and the pressure applied to the sealing surface of the gasket 7 can be maintained high over a long period of time.
