PROCESSING DEVICE FOR PATTERN/CODE CONVERSION

PURPOSE:To execute processings for error check and recognition for a coded picture signal, by providing a decording processing section and a recognition processing section and further a means for informing types of terminals with start information. CONSTITUTION:A control information input/output section 4 receive start information from a terminal 1 and transfers the information to a recognition processing section 8. The section 8 interpretes the start information to control the section 4, a picture information input/output section 5, a decoding processing section 6, and a coding processing section 7, and picks up mark, numerical and pattern information from a picture signal and processes the provision of codes corresponding to the mark and numerical information. A failure monitor section 9 monitors a failure in the sections 4, 5, 6 7 and 8 and outputs failure information to a failur information output terminal 3 when a failure is detected.
