Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To reduce an amount of adsorbent to be regenerated without lowering desulfurization and denitration rates, by transferring the moving beds of carbonaceous adsorbent successively in series, passing waste gas through the moving bed laterally, adding ammonia at the exterior of the bed before the passage, and repeating passage through the upstream moving bed. CONSTITUTION:Ammonia NH33' is added to waste gas 1, and the gas 1 is passed through the first moving bed 4 of a carbonaceous adsorbent at right angles, ammonia 3 is again added, and the gas 1 is passed through the second moving bed 5 at right angles. On the other hand, the carbonaceous adsorbent 2 is moved through the bed 5 and then the bed 4 to mainly conduct desulfurization and denitration of the gas 1, then it is regenerated in a regenerating tower 6, and recirculated to the first moving bed 5.
