BENDING MACHINE FOR BAND-LIKE BLANK MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To reduce variations of bending of a band-like blank material, and to elevate its accuracy, by providing a freely movable mouthpiece between a holder and a bend-roll, so that the holder and the bend-roll can be placed separately. CONSTITUTION:A continuous band-like blank material A for forming a braid, etc. shifts in a slit 4a of a mouthpiece 4 through a slit 2a of a holder 2 from a roll group, and passes through between bend-rolls 3. On its way, a slide plate 9 moves horizontally, and a substrate 5 which has been connected and attached pivotally to the holder 2 through longitudinal levers 7, 8 is fed horizontally along a cam groove 9a. Subsequently, when the bend-roll 3 installed onto the substrate 5 is fed and moved horizontally, an axis in the lengthwise direction of the band- like base material A is curved in accordance with the cam groove 9a. The blank material A is supported by 3 points such as an outlet (a) of the holder 2, a gap (b) of the bend-rolls, and a slit (c) of the mouthpiece 4, and accordingly, even if the holder 2 and the bend-roll 3 are placed separately, no unnecessary load is put by support of the supporting point (c), the accuracy is elevated, and variations are reduced.
