PRESSURE-SENSITIVE RECORDING SHEET

PURPOSE:To raise the resistances to pressure and wearing of a pressure-sensitive recording sheet by dispersing polyuretane particles of an average grain size of 3-150mu into the coated layer of micro capsules containing chromogenic substances. CONSTITUTION:After or while an isocyanate compound is added to a polar liquid containing an emulsifier, a protective colloid, etc., to obtain an emulsion having a desired grain size, and then the emulsion is reacted with a multi-valent hydroxy compound or amine, etc., while heating to form polyuretane particles of an average grain size of 3-150mu. Preferred series of isocyanate compound used includes monomer or polymers containing no solvents of a low boiling point of 85 deg.C or lower and in liquid form at room temperature, aliphatic multivalent isocyanates may be used jointedly. The polyurethane particles thus obtained are dispersed in an amount of 5-300pts.wt. into a capsule coat layer on the basis of 100pts.wt. micro capsules.
