Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the titled printer which is small in power consumption and remarkably low in heating, noise, etc. by putting a carriage bar bearing printing elements in reciprocating motion by electrostriction elements. CONSTITUTION:Electrostriction material 8 such as barium titanate etc. is pinched between an electrode 9 and a stainless steel plate 10 and they are solidified in laminated electrostriction actuators 3a, 3b, by which a carriage bar 1 is supported. The left and right actuators 3a, 3b bend to the same direction when a voltage E is applied to them simultaneously and they return to the initial state when the voltage E is removed. The carrige bar 1 is put in reciprocating motion between a certain range.
