Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To maintain the shaft axis, installed in a straight line under a cool condition, in a straight line also during operation by using a linear thermal expansion material such as Invar at the place where thermal expansion is apt to occur in the support system of the rotating shaft of an axial flow machine. CONSTITUTION:A blower 10 is supported with support brackets 26 and support legs 27 which are the support system for a common platform 25. The elevation h1 of the shaft axis during operation compared with the cool condition is based on the thermal expansion of the common platform 25, and the elevation h2 based on an abnormal thermal expansion of the support legs 27. By using a linear thermal expansion material as Invar for the support legs 27, the shaft axis can be maintained nearly at a straight line during operation. Accordingly, the rotating shaft axis set in a straight line during installation can be also maintained in a straight line during operation. |
