Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent the influence of black line noise by dividing a mark detection area into two, comparing the number of black picture elements of each mark detection area with >=1 threshold value, and discriminating entry marks according to the combinator of compared results of those two mark detection areas. CONSTITUTION:An input form 1 wherein a reference mark 2, inclination marks 3 and 4, timing marks 5, and scanning specification marks 6 are entered in a color that a facsimile transmitter detects and mark entry frames is entered in a color that the transmitter does not detect is used to perform the reference position correction and inclination correction of the input form 1. Further, a mark detection area set overlapping with the mark entry frame 7 is divided into two, and the numbers of black picture elements of two areas (a) and (b) are counted and compared with threshold values to discriminate the presence of an entry mark according to the combinations of the comparison results of those two areas, so partially unerased entry marks and mark erroneous recognition due to the influence of black line noise generated owing to the momentary breaking of a circuit are eliminated.
