Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To easily diagnose suitability of detecting action of each detector switch, by switching to a self diagnostic condition, deciding the action at each operation of various detector switch and displaying a diagnostic result through turning on-off of a lamp. CONSTITUTION:Self diagnosis of an automatic start stop system is performed such that a diagnosis switch 25 is pressed at stopping of a car to execute a self diagnostic routine by a microcomputer 20. Firstly a starter 11 is turned off and set, then a signal of each switch 17, 18a, 18b, 19, 23, 24 of the first, second clutch, door, heat light, right turn, etc. is stored to an RAM in six bits with action of each switch as 1 bit, when a number of bits different from a reference signal is O or even, a lamp 26 is turned off. Under this condition, in case of operating only a certain switch, if in odd number and turned on, the switch is decided normal, while if as left to be turned off, the switch is decided in failure. This operation is successively performed, and each switch can be easily diagnosed.
