Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:A test piece for tooth decay diagnosis is moisted with the spit to be tested and kept without feeding air near a certain temperature to measure the change in color to judge the tooth decay activity of the microorganisms participating in the tooth decay in spit simply and rapidly. CONSTITUTION:A reagent composition for measuring the number of microorganisms causing tooth decay in spit is made into a solution containing 0.05- 0.003wt% of resazurin, triphenyltetrazolium, neotetrazolium and 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol and 10wt% of sucrose is used to impregnate pieces of paper 1 and dried. The test piece is moisted with a small amount of spit to be tested and fixed with the covering film 2 to stop the air feed. Thus, the vaporization of the spit is inhibited and stood at 37 deg.C for 15min or at 20 deg.C for 20-30min to measure the change in color on the test piece. This process not only enable simple judgement in a short time but also lowers the costs.
