CENTER TYPE TAPE WINDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To wind up tapes linearly and mildly at the time of start and stop by sending out the tape with a capstan roller and a rubber roller, setting the length of the portion of tape sent off in proportion to the number of revolutions of the head, and by providing adjustability for this proportionate value. CONSTITUTION:Motor M1 for driving the tape winding head B is set in coupling with another motor M2 for driving the capstan roller 8 through a differential device 32 to send out the tape T with the roller 8 and rubber roller 9, and the length of the portion of tape sent off is set in proportion to the number of revolutions of the head B. If the cable after tape winding and the winding pitch are represented by d and P, respectivly, so the tape length l is expressed by l =(pid) +P for each turn of head B. If now the head B is driven so that the length of the portion of tape sent off by the roller 8 becomes l, the cable diameter d after tape winding can be kept constant. Further because the tape T sent out by the roller 8 includes little change in rotation drive owing to influence of the inertia, there is no risk of change in tension.
