CASH REGISTER SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of setting mistake due to the mistake of confirmation of the operator, by discriminating whether a device corresponds to the payment of specific coins or not at a cash register based on a data length transmitted from a coin disposer. CONSTITUTION:A paper note dispenser B/D dispensing paper notes is connected to a cash register BE registering and processing various transaction information and a coin dispenser C/D is connected to the dispensor B/D. When the operator depresses a function key of the device BE to discriminate whether the dispensing of a specific coin (e.g., 500 Yen) is possible or not for the dispenser C/D, the device BE requests data transfer of the dispenser C/D via the device B/D. When the C/D receiving this request transmits type of money information possible for dispensing to the B/D, the B/D edits this information into a data length and transmits it to the BE. The BE discriminates this data length and displays whether or not the dispensing of the specific coin is possible for the C/D on the display. Thus, the operator sets the types of money possible for dispensing by the C/D and commands the dispensing of the monetary amount to the C/D.
