Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:A cation-polymerizable, energy ray-curable resin composition capable of forming tough paint films having excellent adhesion, flexibility, impact resistance, etc., consisting essentially of an epoxy resin, a thermoplastic saturated polyester resin and a photopolymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition is prepared by mixing 60-95pts.wt. (A) at least one epoxy resin containing at least one epoxy group in the molecule (e.g., one containing 30-95wt% alicyclic epoxy resin having an epoxy group on an alicyclic ring), with 5-40pts.wt. (B) thermoplastic saturated polyester resin, average MW of 2,500-30,000, and 0.1-10pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. mixture of components A and B, (C) photopolymerization initiator which, upon irradiation with energy rays, releases a substance which initiates cation polymerization. This composition is useful particularly for use in varnishes, paints, ink vehicles, coating agents, etc.
