INITIAL POSITION SETTING SYSTEM OF CARRIAGE

PURPOSE:To obtain an initial position setting system for a carriage for detecting obstacle in the section as well as control the moving of the carriage to its initial position by using a system in which the carriage is moved once to a reference position at the right end, inversed and then moved fully over all section to set it at the initial position on the left end. CONSTITUTION:When a carriage 4 is moved from any stop position (a) on the axle 3 between left and right-handed frames 1 and 2 to a reference position (c) on the left end and set there, control is made such that it passes without fail through all moving section and reaches there while confirming the presence of obstacle. Therefore, it is tested on whether the moving amount is normal or abnormal by a manner that it can pass through a path 1' from the position (a), reaches right end (b), reaches start position (a) through a path 2' shown by broken line by inversion, and then reaches the reference position (c) on the left end through the path 3'. In this case, since the path 2' becomes the return path of the path 1' and there is no need to confirm the presence of obstacle, high- speed drive of the carriage can be attained.
