AMINO ACID PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION COMPOSITION AND ITS PREPARATION

PURPOSE:To prepare an amino acid preparation having high stability and free from ill odor and ill taste, economically, by mixing an amino acid with a higher fatty acid, wax, triglyceride, etc. which are solid at normal temperature and are pharmacologically permissible, melting the mixture with heat, and cooling and solidifying the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Essential or non-essential amino acids are mixed with 10-30wt% of higher fatty acids, waxes, carbowaxes, triglycerides, etc. (e.g. stearic acid, beeswax, polyethylene glycol 4000, Witepsol, etc.) which are solid at normal temperature and are pharmacologically permissible, and the mixture is molten and then solidified by cooling to obtain the titled composition in the form of powder, granule, etc. The ill odor and ill taste are prevented without coating, and a sufficiently high stability can be attained without using sodium sulfite.
