Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and prevent misoperation, by realizing selection of a range through an electric controller. CONSTITUTION:A controller drives a range selecting actuator 54 so as to select a range corresponding to operation of range switches 11, 13, 15, 17 by a computer 28 executing a control program. Here a condition, such that the range switch must be operated simultaneously with a common switch 19, is necessary, and unexpected range selection is prevented in case of such as touching by mistake to the range switch. Further as necessary whether the range selection is proper or not is decided from an operative condition of a vehicle at this time, consequently error range selection is also prevented.
