Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To dewater a board for a magnetic disc thoroughly and to produce a board coated with chromic acid film having stable quality, by subjecting the board to a chromic acid film treatment then washing the same with pure water and dewatering the same and further removing the water drops, etc. stuck thereon by drying the board with hot air. CONSTITUTION:A film of chromic acid is formed on the surface of a board 5 for a magnetic disc with a chromating device 1. In succession, the board is washed in a pure water immersion tank 2 and is further immersed for 1-30sec in a warm pure water tank 3 kept at 60-90 deg.C and >=1MOMEGAcm electric resistance, whereafter the board is pulled up from the tank 3 at 0.5-5m/min pulling speed. The water drops and steam stuck on the surface of the board 5 are thoroughly dried and removed by the hot air of 80-150 deg.C blown at 1-50m/sec velocity of air and 3-15m /min air quantity in a hot air blowing tank 4. The dewatering is accomplished thoroughly, and the board having stable quality is obtained.
