Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a raw material for charging into a metallurgical furnace which is a spiral or curved member suited for handling and operation efficiently and economically by crushing and forming the cut scraps of thin layered metals such as trimmer scraps with a specific crusher. CONSTITUTION:Cut scraps 7 of thin layered metals are used and are crushed to small- sized members in a spiral or curled shape, whereby the scraps are formed to a raw material 8 for charging into a metallurgical furnace as shown in the figure. The material 8 differs in size with the size and thickness of the scraps 7, but is substantially free from entanglement with each other and the tendency toward hooking to other objects. Said material is suited for handling and operating in the stage of charging the same into the metallurgical furnace and since said material is obtainable from cut scraps, the material is inexpensive. The scraps are charged from a chute 4 into a hopper 5 and a suitable amt. thereof are charged by a conveyor 21 into a crusher 1 in order to form the material 8. If the scraps therein are hammered and crushed with the hammer 17 of a rotor 15 rotating on a grade 13 and are curled simultaneously, the material 8 falls through the discharge port 19 in the lower part of the grade. The material is fed to a rotary screening mechanism 3 so as to be screened.
