Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:The titled novel material useful as a light screening material, water- soluble adhesive, coating material, printing agent, etc., having a specific transition temperature and temperature reversibility of light transmission, comprising an aqueous solution of poly(N,N-diethylacrylamide). CONSTITUTION:Poly(N,N-diethylacrylamide) (preferably one having 0.01-6.0 intrinsic viscosity in chloroform at 30 deg.C) is dissolved in water to give 0.05- 10wt% solution, so that the desired material reversible at 30-32 deg.C transition temperature is obtained. The above-mentioned polymer is obtained by irradiating N,N-diethylacrylamide with irradiation directly or after dissolving it in a proper solvent, or heating it in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator. USE:Useful as a transparent material for preventing automatically the rise of temperature inside a chamber by the direct irradiation of the sun to an unnecessarily high temperature.
