OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE FOR GRIPPING PAWL OF RUBBER CYLINDER

PURPOSE:To provide the titled device free from need to excessively enlarge the lift of an opening and closing cam for a gripping pawl, wherein only the gripping pawl can be manually rotated by a large angle by slackening a connecting member of a pawl shaft member and a roller-fitted lever which constitute an opeing and closing lever for the gripping pawl. CONSTITUTION:The pawl shaft member 16 is fitted into a space part 21 of the roller-fitted lever 17 in the direction of an arrow, and both the members are fastened by a connecting bolt 25 to constituted the opening and closing lever 15 for the gripping pawl 1. The lever 17 is solely rotated in the direction of the opening and closing cam 8 for the pawl 1 by a spring 29. When the shaft member 16 and the lever 17 are separated from each other by untightening the connecting bolt 25, the member 16 can be manually rotated together with a pawl shaft 7 irrespectively of the force of the spring 29 and the position of a roller 22. Accordingly, the gripping pawl 1 can be largely rotated in the direction for opening, and a mouthpiece 4 can be easily fitted and detached.
