Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To solve the problem of overflow of drain into the indoor side of the air conditioner due to one's failure to switch a rotary drain elbow at the time of transportation of the air conditioner or during its use and to facilitate the cleaning of the drain elbow clogged with dust, by a method wherein the substantially L-shaped rotary drain elbow which comprises a connecting section and a discharge section and which is adopted to discharged drain pooled in the air conditioner is provided with an opening at a position opposite the discharge section. CONSTITUTION:The drain elbow 14 is provided with the opening 14b at a position opposite the discharge section 14a thereof. As a result, in case where the discharge section 14a of the drain elbow is kept facing upward for the prevention of its dislocation or damage at the time of transportation, or even when the air conditioner is used without rotating the elbow for switching, the drain flows out from the opening 14b without in any case overflowing toward the indoor side of the air conditioner. Further, in case where the air conditioner is used correctly, the opening 14b is kept facing upward so that the drain flows from the discharge section 14a. In addition, it is not necessary to remove the elbow during transportation and there is no fear of its missing nor it fais to be fixed. Moreover, in case where the elbow 14 is clogged with dust or the like, it is possible to clean it through the opening 14b instead of removing it from a perforated projection 2a of a base plate 2. |
