TERMINAL CONTROLLING METHOD

PURPOSE:To use effectively a terminal device, by providing a terminal allocation queue to the terminal controller of a terminal devices that plural processors share through a data highway by the intervention of their transmission controllers. CONSTITUTION:The plural processors 1A-1C are connected to the data highway bus DB through their transmission controllers 2A-2C and connected to the terminal controller of the terminal device 4 that they share. The terminal allocation queue 3a is provided in first-in first-out basis in the terminal controller 3. When no processor is in the queue 3a, access requests from the processors 1A-1C are accepted immediately, but when the terminal controller 4 is already in use, the data in the queue 3a is sent to a request origin processor as a terminal interruption incompletion message. The request origin processor estimates its latency time on the basis of the sent data and held itself in readiness. Consequently, the terminal device is used efficiently.
