FUEL AMOUNT DISPLAY DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform adequate fuel supply, by computing a fuel consumption rate during a vehicle is running in response to the change in remaining fuel quantity and the change in speed pulses, computing the running distance that can be continuously covered, and displaying the distance together with the remaining fuel. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle is started and a microcomputer 40 is operated, a display control program is started in accordance with a flow chart, and speed pulses of a speed sensor 20 are counted by a distance counter. The microcomputer 40 stores a binary coded signal generated by an A-D converter 30 in cooperation with a remaining quantity sensor 10. When the value is more than a specified value, the stored value is generated as a remaining quantity display command signal. Then a controller 50 stores the contents of said signal as display data. A video signal is generated and a bar graph is displayed on a CRT display device 60. Meanwhile, the microcomputer 40 computes the running distance and fuel consumption rate, and computes the running distance that can be continuously covered. Then the distance and the remaining fuel quantity are displayed together.
