PREPARATION OF RADIATION IMAGE CONVERSION SCREEN

PURPOSE:To obtain a radiation image conversion screen such as sensitized paper, fluorescent board, etc., having high sensitivity and improved image properties, obtained by laminating a fluorescent substance layer of a green coloring rare earth element on a blue coloring fluorescent substance layer to give a fluorescent substance layer, laminating further a protecting film of transparent resin on it. CONSTITUTION:(A) Fluorescent substance particles of green coloring rare earth element for radiation and (B) fluorescent substance particles of blue coloring for radiation having smaller average particle diameters or specific gravity than the component A are dispersed into a binder resin solution, to give a fluorescent substance coating solution. The solution is applied to a protecting film of a transparent resin preformed on a flat base, dried in a stationary state, and a separated fluorescent substance layer consisting of the component B mainly in the upper part and the component A in the lower part is prepared. The fluorescent substance layer integrated with the protecting film is released from the base, and bonded to a substrate in such a way that the fluorescent substance layer side becomes a contact face, to give the desired radiation image conversion screen.
