DECOMPOSED GAS DETECTING DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To prevent direct discharge of the decomposed gas component into atmospheric air, by making the pressure of a gas picked up for analysis smaller than the internal pressure of the equipment, thereby absorbing the harmful decomposed gas component by an absorbent. CONSTITUTION:A two way solenoid controlled valve 81 is closed, a flange valve 5 is slowly opened, and pressure is adjusted to about 0.1-1kg/cm by a pressure regulator 6. Then, the two way solenoid controlled valves 81 and 82 are opened, and part of a gas 4 in a gas introducing pipe is contacted with a decomposed gas absorbent 14 and is discharged out of a discharge port of a decomposed gas absobet container 15. When the inside of a gas cell 9 is completely displaced by the gas 4 in the gas introducing pipe, at first the valve 81 is closed, then the valve 82 is closed, and a tightly closed system with respect to atmospheric pressure is obtained. Then the gas is measured by an infrared gas analyzer 11.
