GRAPHIC COMPARATOR

PURPOSE:To decrease the time required for graphic comparison, by providing a noticed point comparing part for comparing a comparison noticed point number with counting during the graphic comparison and then performing a graphic comparison only when the coincidence is virtually obtained for the comparison noticed point number. CONSTITUTION:A pattern 2 to be compared which is obtained by reading a pattern to be detected at a reading part 1 is compared with a registered pattern 5 at a noticed point number comparing part 7 with counting of the number of comparison noticed points. If no coincidence is obtained for the number of comparison noticed points between both patterns, the result of comparison is fed back to the part 1. Then the reading conditions are changed so as to obtain the coincidence of the comparison noticed point number, and the pattern to be detected is read at the part 1. When the coincidence of the comparison noticed point number is obtained, the pattern 2 is shifted and turned at a position matching part 3. Then the coincidence with the pattern 5 is checked at a graphic comparing part 4. A coincidence deciding part 6 performs decision. Then the result is fed back to the part 3 when necessary.
