GOVERNOR UNIT FOR DISTRIBUTOR TYPE FUEL-INJECTION PUMP

PURPOSE:To make a governor unit having much of durability and reliability operatable, by forming a governor sleeve into a hydraulic cylinder type driving structure in relation to a control sleeve to be inserted into a plunger regulating fuel-injection quantities, while controlling the hydraulic pressure with a solenoid valve employed. CONSTITUTION:A governor unit bearing the above caption regulates fuel-injection quantities in a way of controlling the position of a control sleeve 17 inserted into a plunger 7 in a fuel-injection pump in relation to a cutoff port 18 by both a governor sleeve 24 and a start lever 25. In this case, a governor shaft 19 projected into a pump house 4 forms a hollow part opening the tip, while a pressure operating chamber 41 is partitioned inside the hollow part by the way of inserting the governor sleeve 24 into this shaft 19. This pressure operating chamber 41 is connected to the discharge passage 42 of a feed pump 2 and simultaneously connected to the pump house 4 through a passage 45 running alongside of a solenoid valve 44. Then this solenoid valve 44 is controlled whereby the governor sleeve 24 is pushed forward in conjunction with the pump revolution.
