Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance property and bendability of a bearing, by securing a union fabric made up of heat-resistant fibres such as aromatic polyamide resin fibres and tetrafluoroethylene resin fibres on a back metal using a polyimide resin as an adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:The union fabric is made up of tetrafluoroethylene resin fibres 1 that will constitute a sliding surface and heat-resistant fibres 2 such as aromatic polyamide resin fibres, glass fibres and carbon fibres that will constitute a lining material. It is desirable to weave such that the tetrafluoroethylene resin fibres 1 on the sliding surface side forms about 50-80% of the whole area. Such a union fabric is stuck on a back metal using a polyamide resin as an adhesive. The union fabric is approximately completely impregnated with the polyamide resin. The thus obtained multi-layer sliding material has a low coefficient of friction, and if it is bent, the union fabric would not come off from the back metal.
