Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce unburnt component of fuel during deceleration and prevent both after-burn in an exhaust system and vibration at deceleration by supplying oxygen enriched air when an engine is decelerated. CONSTITUTION:When a throttle valve 13 for intake air (d) being fully opened or half opened, for example, is closed so as to have an engine placed in the decelerated condition, a deceleration discrimination circuit 28 receives an output from a load sensor 27 and estimates the decelerated condition. Resultantly, a relief valve 21 is closed by a driving circuit 29 and an O2 concentration controller 20 is coincidently actuated to open a control valve 19. A control valve 18 is then closed to supply an oxygen enriched air (b) only in an intake air passage 9 so as to improve the ignitability of mixture and reduce unburnt component in exhaust gas.
