Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain L-histidine, at a low cost, by culturing a specific L-histidine- producing bacterial strain belonging to Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium genus in a nutrient medium, and separating the accumulated L-histidine from the culture liquid. CONSTITUTION:A mutant resistant to an RNA polymerase-inhibiting agent [e.g. Corynebacterium glutamicum 2R-18, (FERM-P No.6475) or an adenine- requiring mutant (FERM-P No.6496)] is obtained by using an L-histidine-producing bacterial strain belonging to Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium genus as a parent strain, and imparting the strain with resistance to RNA polymerase- inhibiting agent or adenine-requiring property. The mutant is cultured in a nutrient medium, and the L-histidine accumulated in the culture liquid is separated e.g. by ion exchange, etc. |
