COMMUNICATING METHOD OF LOOP NETWORK

PURPOSE:To attain effective use of a loop even if a station transmitting a great deal of data exists in a loop, by using a part of a vacant loop by an extra- token. CONSTITUTION:Let a data from a station (ST) 3 to other STs longer than the other data. Then the ST3 informs that the data are large in quantity to a controller 7. When a loop adaptor 2 catches a token, the controller 7 outputs an extra-token transmission request to the other Sts and the extra-token signal is transmitted from the adaptor 2 of the other STs to a loop 1. Thus, the partial use of the loop 1 is made possible. When the ST3 completes the data transmission and receives an extra-token in using the station as the final station, the original token is outputted to the loop 1 and the extra-token is abandoned, then the token and the extra-token are never circulated on the same loop.
