CORROSION-PROOF PREFABRICATED STEEL SHEET PILE

PURPOSE:To secure the corrosion proofness of steel sheet piles for a long period of time by coating a rubber cement lining having excellent scratch resistance and excellent anticorrosiveness on the surface of the steel except for the fitted joint parts of the steel sheet piles in such a way as to form a film. CONSTITUTION:A rubber cement lining which is excellent in scratch resistance and anticorrosiveness is coated on one side or both sides of the surfaces 3 and 4 of the steel sheet pile 1 except for the fitted joint part 2 to form a corrosion- proof film 5. The rubber cement lining used is prepared by mixing a liquid composed primarily of a synthetic rubber latex and Portland cement with aggregate, and the preferred thickness of the film 5 formed is more than 2,000mum, more preferably 3,000-10,000mum.
