Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:A triazolyl styril ketone derivative is converted into a sulfate salt, mixed with a solvent to elute the Z-isomer utilizing their solubility difference and collect the E-isomer as a solid, thus permitting efficient isolation of the titled isomer used as a bactericidal or its intermediate. CONSTITUTION:A geometdric isomer mixture of triazolyl styril ketone derivative of the formula (X is halogen; n is 1,2) such as 1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-(1,2,4- triazol-lyl)-4,4-dimethyl-1-penten-3-one is converted into its fulfate salt. The salt is mixed with a solvent such as acetone in the presence of a protonic substance such as water or methanol in an amount of 0.5-5mol per mole of the Z-isomer salt in the sulfate mixture so that the Z-isomer sulfate is dissolved into the solvent. In the meantime, the sulfate of E-isomer is collected in the form of a solid salt and the salt is decomposed to collect the E-isomer. |
