Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To realize the detection or the quantitative analysis of occult blood certainly in good reproducibility, by carrying out the measurement of occult blood after a red corpuscle is separated and removed in a state free from hemolysis of the red corpuscle. CONSTITUTION:A sample stool is taken in an appropriate container and a solvent preventing hemolysis of a red corpuscle, for example, a physiological saline solution is poured therein to dilute said sample stool. In the next step, a liquid containing the diluted sample is applied to the separation layer or the separation-development layer of a multilayered material by a pipet. By this operation, the red corpuscle remains on the outer surface or the internal void of the separation layer or the separation-development layer and an aqueous liquid containing occult blood, that is, hemoglobin is separated. Subsequently, the above mentioned aqueous liquid reaches a development layer through the separation layer and an adhesive layer to be developed therein or within the separation-development layer and diffused into and supplied to a reagent layer present in close contact relation to the development layer or the separation-development layer in an almost constant amount ratio per a unit area to generate color development or discoloration in the reagent layer. By using this phenomenon, measurement of occult blood is carried out according to a colorimetry method. |
