Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To inexpensively prepare the titled light wt. plated product excellent in close adhesiveness and corrosion resistance and having beautiful appearance, by a method wherein Ni plating is applied to a titanium material subjected to electrolytic polishing directly after activation treatment or during activation treatment and noble metal plating is further applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:After a titanium material containing 90% or more titanium is washed, the washed titanium material is subjected to electrolytic polishing by using an electrolytic polishing liquid based on a fluoride powder to remove the oxide film thereon and, at the same time, to remove foreign matters and protruded or recessed parts. After electrolytic polishing, Ni plating is applied while activation treatment is carried out by hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid or directly after activation treatment to form plating film containing 70% or more Ni. In the next step, noble metal plating is applied onto Ni plating. By this method, noble metal plating excellent in close adhesiveness can be inexpensively applied to a spectacle frame made of a titanium material. |
