POSITIONING METHOD FOR PRINTING WIRE IN PRINTING HEAD

PURPOSE:To facilitate the fitting of a printing wire to an armature, by a method wherein the end part of the printing wire on the side for connecting to the armature is passed through and fixed to a pipe, and the printing end of the wire is positioned by fixing the pipe to the tip position of the armature. CONSTITUTION:An armature 25c is stretched to position indicated by a center circle R. When an printing wire 26 strongly strikes a platen, the part indicated by a circular arch is bent to absorb a reaction force of the impact, thereby causing a deterioration of print quality. To avoid this, the end of the wire 26 is passed through the pipe 28, which is bent, and then the pipe with the wire 26 therein is fixed (for example, by brazing) to the tip of the armature 25c stretched to the center line R. According to this fitting method, the armature 25c is stretched to the center line R, and a base part of the wire 26 is extended to a center line (r) while being guided by the pipe 28, which is sufficiently stiff to give a reaction force to the platen.
