PREPARATION OF COMPOSITION CONTAINING CINNARIZINE

PURPOSE:To increase the dissolving rate of cinnarizine useful as a remedy for the cerebral blood circulation disorder in water, by dissolving the cinnarizine and polyvinylpyrrolidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose, etc. in an organic solvent, and rapidly distilling away the solvent to form a copreciptiated mixture. CONSTITUTION:Cinnarizine, i.e. trans-1-cinnamyl-4-diphenylmethylpiperazine, and at least one selected from polyvinylpyrrolidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose in an amount of 1-10pts.wt. based on one pts.wt. cinnarizine are dissolved in an organic solvent, preferably a mixed solvent of chlorothene with ethyl alcohol or methylene chloride with ethyl alcohol, and the resultant solution is then coprecipitated by the spray drying or fluidized bed drying method, etc. to give the aimed composition containing the cinnarizine.
