ADDRESS CONVERTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the overhead of a CPU and memories attended with address inversion, by checking the coincidence between an owner discriminator at each page unit of a real storage device and a current owner discriminator. CONSTITUTION:A virtual address is converted into a real address at an address converter 102 and stored in a real address register 103. In this address, the coincidence between the owner discriminator at each page unit of a real memory 104 of an owner discriminator register 200 and the current owner discriminator of the current owner discriminator register 202 is detected at an ID check circuit 201, then the result is stored in a real address register 103' accessing the memory 104. In stealing the page of the memory 104, when the discriminator of the corresponding register 200 is changed, the management table is not monitored at all times for the pointer designation at the conversion of the real address into the virtual address, and the address is changed to the corresponding virtual address, allowing to reduce the overhead of the software of the CPU at the address inversion.
