Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor good in adhesion between a substrate and each layer, and superior in mechanical strength, resistance to solvents and heat, etc., by forming a thin layer composed mainly of TiC or TiN on a support, and on this layer a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A conductive layer made mainly of titanium carbide or nitride is formed on a plastic film of polyester or the like or a support of a metallic drum or the like to 10- several thousand nm thickness directly or by the reactive magnetron sputtering method. On this layer, an inorg. or org. photoconductor layer is formed, and especially, a photosensitive layer contg. the org. photoconductor, a sensitizer, and a binder is formed. The obtained photoreceptor is enhanced in adhesion between the substrate and the photosensitive layer, and mechanical strength by the use of TiN, TiC layers, and image quality of copies formed is also enhanced.
