Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To enable the simple regeneration of a catalyst, by subjecting a metal sulfate catalyst deteriorated by using the same in a method for preparing indoles by reacting anilines and ethylene glycol in the presence of said catalyst to heat treatment under a sulfur containing gaseous atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A metal sulfate catalyst (e.g., zinc sulfate) deteriorated by using the same in a method for preparing indoles by reacting anilines and ethylene glycol in the presence of said catalyst is subjected to heat reatment under a sulfur containing gaseous atmosphere to be regenerated. As the above mentioned sulfur containing gas, it is pref. to use a gas usually containing a surface component in an amount of 10vol% on the basis of SO2 and a temp. in heat treatment under the sulfur containing gaseous atmosphere is pref. 350-450 deg.C. In addition, a heat treating time is pref. about 2-30hr. |
