ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, ANTIPYRETIC AND ANALGESIC AGENT CONTAINING THEOPHYLLINE DERIVATIVE AS ACTIVE CONSTITUENT

PURPOSE:An anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and anlagesic agent containing a specific theophylline derivative and an acid addition salt thereof, e.g. 7- 3- 4-(3,4- dimethylphenyl)piperazinyl-(1) -n-propyl -theophylline dihydrochloride, as active constituents. CONSTITUTION:An anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic agent containing a theophylline derivative expressed by formulaI R is H or lower alkyl; Z is formula IV or V (X1, X2, Y1 and Y2 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxyl, CF3 or halogen) or pyridyl; X is N or C; n is an integer 2-10 and an acid addition salt thereof as active constituents. The compound expressed by formulaIis administered in a dose of preferably about 3-100mg per day orally or parenterally, e.g. intramuscularly, subcutaneously or intravenously, and used as the above- mentioned drug. The compound expressed by formulaIcan be prepared by reacting a compound expressed by formula II (X is halogen or p-toluenesulfonyloxy) with a compound expressed by formula III.
