SPEED CHANGE PATTERN SWITCHING DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC SPEED CHANGE GEAR

PURPOSE:To improve a speed change characteristic by forming two cam surfaces different in shape on the outer peripheral surface of a cam plate operated in response to a change in a throttle opening, and switching a stretched length change pattern of a throttle cable wrapped round the outer periphery of the plate. CONSTITUTION:When a carburettor valve shaft 16 is rotated corresponding to the treading amount of an accelerating pedal, a plate 6 is rotated in a body, so that a cam plate 5 is rotated in the same direction of the action of a pin 8, a support shaft 14 and a spring 10. Therefore, the displacement of a throttle cam 3 rotated by a cable 4 is changed depending upon a cam surface 51 or a cam surface 52 of the cam plate 5 which is selected at that time. The transformation of throttle pressure output from a throttle valve 2 is changed by such change, so that a speed change point is changed to the high-speed side or the low-speed side. At this time, a gear 12 is rotated by a selector switch to turn the cam plate 15 on the support shaft 14 so as to switch each position of the cam surfaces 51, 52, whereby a speed change pattern can be changed.
