EXCHANGE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To realize the selection for the connection between private persons as well as for the calls at the receiver side, by giving an identification code to each subscriber calling a private person identifying call through a terminal and informing the caller code to the called subscriber before starting the talking. CONSTITUTION:A caller dials the private numbers of both caller and called subscriber through a telephone 1, and the dial signal is stored at a CPU1 via a register REG of a switchboard 3-1. The private number information of the called subscriber is converted into the route information by a translator TLR, and an idle trunk 5 is selected. Then the route information is transmitted to a CPU2 of a switchboard 3-2 at the receiver side along with the caller number through a common line signal transmission line 6. The name of the caller is retrieved by a computer 4, and at the same time a ringing tone for identification of the called subscriber is sent to a telephone 2 at the receiver side. When the called subscriber gives an answer, the caller name is informed to the called subscriber before calling. Then the talking starts after the called subscriber dials the acceptance number.
