DETECTION DEVICE FOR TROUBLE IN CONVEYING PASSAGE

PURPOSE:To make maintenance work ever so easy, by counting each quantity of conveyed goods run past the plural number of required spots in a conveying passage, while detecting a trouble section in the conveying passage by means of comparative discrimination on a basis of the counted values at optional spots. CONSTITUTION:When bills inside a 10,000 yen bill storing box 1a, for example, in case of a bill payer are fed to a conveying passage 5 from a sucker 2a, passing of these bills is detected by a bill passing detector 3a and the number of bills are counted by a counter 4. Also, according to output of a normal-defective bill discriminator 6, when all bills are normal, they are counted by output of a bill passing detector 7 as well as when some are defective, the number of these bills are counted by a counter 10. Next, normal bills are transferred to a storing box 15 via a conveying passage 5a but defective bills to a recovery box 17 via a gate 11 and a conveying passage 5b respectively. And, at this time, the counting contents of each of counters 4, 8, 9, 10, 13 and 19 are compared by a comparison detecting device COM whereby conveying trouble at the required section of the conveying passage is detected.
