CABLE REEL DEVICE OF TRAVELLING BODY SUCH AS CRANE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to absorb the torsion of a signal cable caused by its winding by connecting the signal cable which has been formed into a coil shape and to which a spring material has been longitudinally attached, to the signal core line of a composite cable. CONSTITUTION:The signal core line of a composite cable 4 is connected to a travelling body via a signal cable 8, and this cable 8 is formed by covering core lines 8a such as many optical fibers in a body, while a band shaped spring 8b is longitudinally attached to said cable. Further, said cable having its roll diameter d is formed into a coil shape elastically deformable in its radial direction, and wound around a fixed drum 9. In such a constitution, when the main reel 5 is, for example, turned in the winding direction, the number (n) of turns of the cable 8 increases in proportion to the rotation of the main reel 5, while the roll diameter (d) decreases, allowing the torsion of the cable 8 to be absorbed.
