MANUFACTURE OF PRECISION RESIN MOLDED ITEM

PURPOSE:To obtain a precision resin molded item at normal temperature within a short period using simple equipment without generating the thermal strain, by injecting a photo-setting resin into a transparent mold, and irradiating light from outside thereof to set the photo-setting resin. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when a ferrule 1 for a photo-connector is to be molded, the transparent mold is used wherein transparent intermediate molds 7-10 having the same diameter as that of an end mold material 6 of a metal in the shape of a disk are put on the end mold material 6, and a transparent outer cylinder 11 is fitted on the outer circumference thereof. This mold 5 is set on a turn table (A) with the injection port 13 thereof up, and a photo-setting resin 23 is injected into the mold via the injection port 13. Thereafter, while the turn table (A) is rotated, light is radiated to set the resin 23 in the mold. After the completion of the setting, the end mold material 6 and the transparent intermediate mold 7 are removed axially, and an ejection pin 22 is ejected to obtain the desired item 1.
