DEVICE FOR CORRECTION OF SHEET RUNNING

PURPOSE:To prevent jam of an operation counting machine with sheets such as bank notes or incapability of changing-over, by furnishing a means to correct any sheet inserted aslant in the sheet handing device and make the sheet interval appropriate. CONSTITUTION:When power is supplied to every part and photosensors 26, 27 sense that of the circuit a sheet is being transported, a slant sensing/judging part 28 gives a sheet existence signal S1 to a slant/spacing correction drive control part 30 as well as supplies slant amount sensing signal S2, S3 for the sheet to the control part 30. In parallel with it, a sheet spacing judging part 29 supplies a spacing abnormality signal KER to the control part 30 when any abnormality is seen in the spacing amount data D2 for the sheet. The amounts of slant and spacing obtained thereby are converted into corresponding correction amounts by this slant/spacing correction drive control part 30, and on the basis of this cor rection amount the left and right speeds are changed for a certain specified period and also signals are fed to stepping motors 13, 19 to nullify the slant of sheet and correct into the appropriate spacing.
