MULTIVITAMINIC COMPLEX FOR INTRAVENOUS INJECTION

PURPOSE:The titled stable vitaminic complex containing 13 essential vitamins divided into three containers containing the respective combinations of (A) vitamins B2 and B6 and pantothenic acid and vitamin C, etc., (B) vitamins B1 and B12 and folic acid, etc. and (C) vitamins A, D, E and K. CONSTITUTION:A multivitaminic complex for the intravenous injection obtained by dividing 13 essential vitamins into compositions (A) vitamins B2 and B6, pantothenic acid and vitamin C, (B) vitamins B1 and B12 and folic acid and (C) vitamins A, D, E, and K, and incorporating biotin and nicotinic acid with at least one of the compositions (A) and (B) or biotin with either one thereof and nicotinic acid with the other, dividing the respective compositions into three containers, having improved storage stability, and useful for the therapy of the total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Preferably, the compositions (A) and (C) are aqueous solutions, and an excipient, e.g. histidine, is further added to the composition (B) and freeze-dried to give a freeze-dried pharmaceutical.
